Well a quiet day so far with both baby and mommy getting in plenty of napping. Daddy is trying his best to finish the plumbing to the upstairs main bath.... trying quietly that is. Things are going well so far. Sink and toilet work fine ... shower ... well hot water works fine... gonna have to troubleshoot the cold!

Notice: This is a public notice to announce that Grandpa (to be known as Tex) met Lara (to be called Boo) for the first time today. Negotiations began well with Boo drooling on Tex and Tex promising a pony to Boo in exchange for her cooperation. More to follow.

What a nice day. First, we headed out for Lara's very first visit to the pediatrician. I admit, it was an exciting time for me. While we allready knew that our little girl is perfect, it was nice to have it confirmed by the doctor. Scientific evidence is now available to stifle the nay-sayers that attribute my claims to parental bias. Later, in the afternoon, Grandma stopped in to see her little grandpeapod.

Tomorrow we get a new bed! Well mommy and daddy that is. As luck would have it we are scheduled for Lara's first doctor visit at 8:30 am. Of course this is the first time in the history of the universe that a delivery, in this case that of our new bed, is scheduled for a reasonable hour. Thankfully, Uncle Kevin will be here to make sure they leave it.

Not a bad first night. We retired for the evening at about midnight. The baby woke for a feeding at 1 and then again at 5. After this Kerry, Lara, Toby, and I had a nice sleep to almost 9. Been a quiet day so far and Toby seems to be adjusting well. Tune in later for more baby pics.

We are finally home! Toby is having a bit a trouble calming down.... but all-in-all it is going smoothly. Now it is time to try and sneak a nap in :)

OK Here we go. May as well post a pic of the nursery now. We are quite happy with how it turned out. Hard to believe that just a short while ago we were up here gutting the old lath and plaster off the walls. Well as disgusting as it was .... the new electricity, plumbing, new framed walls, doors, and windows are nice!

Well this has certainly been an exciting week. Not only is (name withheld due to secrecy clause) due to be born any minute now, the upstairs of 3 Orchard has nice soft carpet!!! I was supposed to set up a website months ago. However, due to the lack of time that never happened. In its place this blog should serve well for the time being. Tomorrow I will post a photo of the 1/5000 of an acre wood... aka the baby room!
